The TYS Film Club organizes film-related events every Tuesday at 7pm, the club is free and all TYS’s attendees are welcome to attend. During regular Movie nights, we often discuss a certain theme around the subject and draw certain conclusions about film themes at the end of the night. You may also join the event in the middle of a movie, so you do not have to wait for the next movie. This time, the theme of the movie night is Submarines, and we are discussing resisting leadership and how to describe in picture the tight spots. We look at Crimson Tide(1995) and K-19 – The Widowmaker (2002). This time the theme of the movie night is Tech noir fugitives, and we discussed the difference between chasing someone and being chased. We will watch Blade Runner and Minority Report.

Time to grill! Tenants’ commitee offers food to grill and drinks.

In Finland Mother’s Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. Let’s make cards for our mothers with enough time for them to be delivered by mail! We’ll bring materials and some snacks.

Let’s play board games and Wii U. We’ll offer some snacks too!

Come and enjoy your saturday with the legendary films from studio Ghibli, snacks will be served!

We will watch 3-4 of the movies of your choosing. Note that this list on starwpoll excludes some of the most famous movies as many have already seen them, Totoro is still on the list however!
