Time to crack open some tasty drinks and put the Kerhis movie setup to good use by finding Nemo and the rest of the “boozy fish”!
We’ll provide some “wet” appetizers, but we strongly recommend bringing YOUR OWN BOTTLE so the booze doesn’t run out while the fun is still going.
Tonight’s movie: Finding Nemo. (Contains top-tier meme material!)
Before the movie, there’s a laid-back warm-up/pre-party at the same Kerhis venue where the screening takes place. The pre-party runs from 4 PM to 7 PM.
MOVIE STARTS at 7:00 PM
Make sure to arrive well before then!!!
After the movie, there’s an after-party—still at the same Kerhis location.
The event is open to all TYS residents and their guests.
The event takes place at the Student Village’s legendary club room, Kerhis (address: Ylioppilaskylä 8D4, ground floor of the red building). Enter through the open green door on the courtyard side, along Keltanokanpolku, opposite the Tyyssija gym.
Save the date! Saturday, Oct 17. Kerhis. Drinks. Movie.
Hope to see you there!
Warm regards,
Student Village West Residents’ Committee <3

UPDATE Oct 8:
Kerhis is undergoing renovations starting November 2nd. The Halloween party will go ahead as planned, but—in perfect keeping with the theme—we’ll also bid a final farewell to the old Kerhis (2.0) and await the resurrection of a bold new Kerhis (3.0) from the ashes of the old!
The Graveyard Girl, the Screaming Room, and other ghastly specters from Joukkila are coming to life at Kerhis on the spookiest day of the year: Hallojen-ween!
So, throw on your most terrifying costume and come haunt Kerhis amidst the glow of bone-chilling lights and gruesome tunes, until the vibes transport you to the brink of the afterlife.
We’re serving up a horrifying amount of sima (mead) that’s truly out of this world, along with other wild treats.
You are welcome—and encouraged—to bring your own snacks and drinks.
No special preparation is needed, and you can come and go as you please during the event hours.
