Now is a great opportunity! Your residents’ committee is going to have a party and organize an epic Back To School party on Saturday, September 5th, opening the 2026-2027 academic year! Even though the summer vacation is over, the hottest season for students is just beginning!
Come boldly and with a low threshold to meet new students, as well as mysterious old mentor characters, and kick off the new academic year and new studies WITH A BREAK!
You don’t need to know or have any prior knowledge, our experienced team will show you how to get things done. All you need to bring is a happy party spirit, and you don’t need to prepare for anything other than relaxed fun.
Dress code: Summer vs. Autumn â so dress according to your favorite season!

The famous Kerhis SIMAA (x-tra waffaa) is available again by the barrel (30L)! And on top of that, there are also some more delicious treats and snacks. This event has been generously invested, enjoy!
The event will be held at the legendary clubhouse of the Student Village ~Kerhis~. The address is Ylioppilaskylä 8D4 (in Turku, of course). The clubhouse is located on the ground floor of the red building. The entrance to the clubhouse is through the open green door, from the apartment yard, along Keltanokanpolku, opposite the Tyyssija gym.
There is no need to register or prepare for the event in advance. You can come and go as you please during the event’s opening hours, 3-11 p.m.
You can bring your own drinks and other refreshments as much as you want, and whatever you want. The clubhouse has a grill, stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and freezer, as well as a wide selection of kitchen utensils and cutlery. The clubhouse has numerous tables, chairs, and sofas indoors. There are also several places to sit in the clubhouse’s own yard. The indoor area also includes a home theater with a big screen, and a connected computer, which you can use to watch movies and listen to music, among other things. The clubhouse also has toilet facilities.
